Observing a variety of growing turmoil in touch with current educational issues I was moved to share the vision and mission of education based documents and observations. Vatican Council II (1965) says: "The school becomes a kind of center, which must be supported jointly by families, teachers, all kinds of unions that promote cultural life, civic and religious, and by the state as well as the entire society" (Vatican II: Declaration on Education No. 5). From the above quotation can be seen there are 6 elements / stakeholders should support the school, not annoying or troublesome, namely (dibahasakan now): (1) family / parent, (2) teachers, (3) LSM-LSM/yayasan, (4 ) religious institutions, (5) the state / government, and (6) society. This idea seems very closely with the movement that is being done now is with the "School Committee" and "Board of Education".

The six elements mentioned above are expected to assist, not interfere. But in reality often interfere with or disrupts the school, either one of whom, may often lack of communication or a true understanding of the functions and roles of each.

One example is quite apprehensive now as this is a matter of religious education in schools. There is an impression as if the school became "a place of education / development of religion", or educational problems to be narrowed and dwarfed religious education. This is apparent with various law reforms in our country. In our opinion the true purpose of education is "to educate the nation" (smart intellectually, emotionally intelligent, intelligent spiritual). Pay attention and look at the book "LEARNING FROM MONKEY" by bird Kaewdang Ph.D., a way of learning mangkus reform ", Grasindo Jakarta 2002. We hope the book can be an inspiration in education reform in our country.

Various experts are often also described the school as "a stall or a restaurant", where the owner or manager of shop / restaurant with full freedom and friendliness present "something" is appealing to consumers. There are different types and colors of "stall / restaurant" in accordance with the aspirations and the advantages of each, is also associated with the price and so on ... We are moving from centralized to decentralized (cf. regional autonomy, decisions on school committees and boards etc. ..), then if you want to set up again from the top with a tight ... what will happen.

Once again on many occasions I constantly reminded, "it appears that what was required was never operating properly". Just look: where laws or regulations are implemented consistently. Why, because of mental people always look for shortcuts and easy or search for a breakthrough by his own desires (selfish). So here I am again reminded of 4 (four) pillar of education declared by UNESCO "learning to learn, learning to be, learning to do, learning to live together". Learning is prosesm, not a shortcut, or break-through. Hopefully the rumors are not stuck with SKS (= System or System racing racing last night an hour). Our hope is 6 elements / stakeholders as we mentioned above the "help" / "support" school, not disrupt or burden. Schools should be given freedom, without freedom we can not claim responsibility.
