Religious education

When I attended a meeting of Catholic education in Beirut, met with counterparts from Egypt, Jordan, Palestine and several other Middle Eastern countries. From them I learned that religious education is not taught in schools but the board held by their respective religions in collaboration with parents and learners are taught outside of school.

Currently emerging pros and cons of the issue of religious education in schools by religious students and taught by religious teachers correligionists learners. In principle it is easily said and done, if in one class consists of only two religious groups of learners, but if in one class there are 5 (five) religion students, I imagine how difficult it is to arrange and place, if it is implemented at school. Why?

1) look at schools today almost all the space / classroom is used for teaching and learning activities, there is even less room school.

2) if in one class there are 5 (religion) learners: Islam, Catholicism, Christianity, Hinduism, Buddhism .. when time instruction can be implemented? In the same time? Where and how the division of the place? In a different time? how setting clock / time? Remember there are allotments hour 2 hours of religious instruction of subjects. Or at a school, say in elementary or junior high school, the students from the lowest to the highest-grade class collected according to their respective religion and religion are taught in accordance with his religion and by religious teachers who co-religionists? Would this not be a hardship for teachers of religion concerned ..?

In this paper, I just wanted to show how difficult it is setting the time and place if religion classes are taught by their religion and the schools are concerned there are five (5) religion. For example in the current public school students are the majority religion is Islam, for learners who are Catholic or Christian was given the opportunity on Friday, where while fellow Moslems praying in the mosque .. what happened: they (the learners who are Catholic or Christian) to obtain a room that is inadequate, because there is only room he said.

In our opinion: if religious education learners should be taught in accordance with the religion that learners concerned and by religious teachers correligionists learners ... this activity is not implemented in schools but in "mosques, churches etc. ..", in other words, education religion becomes the responsibility of the board orangtau and religion are concerned, rather than schoolwork.

Thus education held at the school was purely to educate learners. Again remember there are different intelligences: intelligence, physical intelligence, emotional intelligence, social intelligence, spiritual intelligence and so on.
